I ask that you join me in prayer for 3 of the ladies who are on my prayer list:
- Maxine
Maxine asked if I would pray with her when I visited the ladies in C10 at the Elkhart County Jail on Monday night. Maxine is a woman probably in her 40s who told me that she has been in and out of prison and jail her entire life. She said that this was the hardest time she has ever done and never has it bothered her to be locked up like it is this time. She said that she has been on her knees praying and that her cellmates make fun of her. She was recently hurt by a game of charades in which she was imitated as a crazy woman on her knees. She said she does not get any sleep and that she does not know how much more she can take.
- Lindy
Lindy is a woman also at the Elkhart County Jail who has not been able to shake her addictions to drugs and life on the street. She has many people who care about her and want to help her and she has turned her back to them time and time again. Please pray that this time God will shake her to the core, that He will set her aside for as long as it takes to make this stretch in prison different. She is a bright young woman who would have an incredible testimony if she could make it out of the cycle of defeat.
Casey is my friend from federal prison. She is currently in a halfway house in Minnesota. I have wrote before about her struggle to start her new life after being released from prison. She has not been able to reconnect with her 2 kids the way that she had hoped. As if the task of starting over was not hard enough, her case manager at the half way house has been very hard to get along with and is making it difficult to find steady work, see her kids or even go to church.
I think many who return to life on the outside after spending time in prison find themselves in the same position as Casey. She has the motivation, but the obstacles are so great and the task so huge that she feels beaten down. In a couple weeks she will be released from the halfway house and she will face a new set of challenges. Please continue to pray for her as she rebuilds her life.

I just prayed for all of them and am asking God to prompt me in the future. Keep up the great ministry you have to those in prison.
